NSW Syllabuses

Implementation

Schools and teachers should be aware of the implementation timetable, which details when each new syllabus is to be introduced.

The implementation of a Language syllabus in K–6 is optional.

In Years 7–10, Languages syllabuses are designed to be taught within the NSW existing mandatory 100 hours Languages requirement and within the existing indicative hours for Stage 5 elective courses.
