describes, applies and quantitatively analyses the mole concept and stoichiometric relationships

  • develop knowledge and understanding of the trends and driving forces in chemical interactions

A student:

explores the many different types of chemical reactions, in particular the reactivity of metals, and the factors that affect the rate of chemical reactions

analyses the energy considerations in the driving force for chemical reactions

Year 12 objectives

Students:

  • develop knowledge and understanding of equilibrium and acid reactions in chemistry
     
Year 12 course outcomes

A student:

CH12-12
explains the characteristics of equilibrium systems, and the factors that affect these systems

CH12-13
describes, explains and quantitatively analyses acids and bases using contemporary models


Students:

  • develop knowledge and understanding of the applications of chemistry

analyses the structure of, and predicts reactions involving, carbon compounds
