2022
New English and Mathematics K-2 syllabuses ready to teach
The new English and Mathematics K–2 syllabuses must be taught in all NSW primary schools from Term 1, 2023.
All schools continue to have access to the new English and Mathematics K–2 syllabuses now to prepare and plan for implementation.
Schools will continue to teach existing English and Mathematics 3–6 syllabuses until the new syllabuses become available for preparation and planning in 2023 and are taught in all schools in 2024.

2023
English and Mathematics K–2 syllabuses to be taught in all NSW primary schools.
Continue teaching the English K–10 Syllabus (2012) and Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2012) to Years 3–10 in 2023.
Years 7–10
2022
- Start teaching K–10 Hindi, Macedonian, Persian, Punjabi and Tamil in Year 8 and Year 10
Years 11 and 12
There are no new Stage 6 syllabuses for implementation at this time.
